Catherine SULTAN

Children's judge

Catherine Sultan was a children's judge in Douai in 1988, then in Evry in 1990 before becoming a lecturer at the National School of Magistrates (ENM) from 1995 to 2000.

Between 2000 and 2005, she again served as a children's judge in Paris (2000 to 2002) and Evry (2002 to 2005). 

Catherine Sultan then chaired the Créteil Children's Court between 2005 and 2013. Subsequently, she was seconded as Director of the PJJ (judicial protection of youth) from 2013 to 2017. 

President of the Chamber at the Paris Court of Appeal, Catherine Sultan presided over the Assize Court from 2017 to 2023 and since January 2024 , she is assigned to the Chamber minors of the Court of Appeal.
